| | I saw Riley last night, in SF on Fillmore St. I'm here for a summer internship at UCSF until 8/6, and it's been going pretty well so far. But honestly, it was great to finally see someone that I know here in this city (Sam aside, but she's back in San Diego now). We had some interesting conversation and I learned also, that the Mr. DMV lives here now? It took a little bit of internet sleuthing to get myself logged back into this blog and...
HOLY CHRIST WTF HAPPENED?
Anyway, Chad, I sent you a letter a little while ago. I'm not actually sure if I will continue to use this. It's been a long time since I've been in the habit of blogging and LJ is cleaner, and easier, though I have few interesting friends who still blog regularly there. I also find that I rarely have anything particularly interesting to say anymore... and because cuddling and cooking have demoted internet-ing on my top interests list.
And then I guess, in the meantime... I had a pretty good school year. I found a new job as web assistant of the Nano dept. (ne.ucsd.edu, all me, kids). I started going to counseling regularly. I moved in with my boyfriend. I got a stomach ulcer. I found new (better) friends. I finally quit that goddamned lab bitch job. Got an amazing summer internship in a cool lab with cool people. In general I find that I've mellowed out quite a lot from who I used to be.
But I'm pretty happy where I am right now, and that's not something I could say two or three years ago.
I'm also going to be late for work if I don't get a move-on.
